The situation

What has happened

Two service desk analysts start on 21 September, one in Richmond and one in Fortitude Valley, and the Hobart field base has not had a workstation assessment since Nova moved in. Oliver Standish wants an onboarding plan that covers account creation under the access procedure, the acceptable use acknowledgement, security awareness training, the safety induction and equipment issue, plus a workstation and field kit assessment for Hobart that records hazards and recommended controls. The Hobart office also holds a stack of old monitors and laptops that need a secure and environmentally responsible disposal plan, and the policy requires anti-discrimination and sustainability practices to be part of every induction.

Your brief. Prepare a complete onboarding plan for the two new analysts, complete a documented workstation and field kit safety assessment for the Hobart base, and prepare a secure disposal plan for the retired equipment.

What to look for

Evidence guide

Look for an onboarding plan traceable to the policy and procedure requirements, account tickets that follow the access procedure including multi-factor enrolment before handover, and a workstation assessment that records specific hazards with controls. The disposal plan must address data wiping and recycling. The induction section must address anti-discrimination and sustainability in practical terms.

The student's evidence summary lists every record they created or changed in the systems named above, their notes and the tasks they ticked. Verify it against the deliverables and your own assessment tool.
